Challenge

Eric Sotelo was an 18 year old Norwalk resident who was attending Cerritos College. Eric was finding it difficult to find employment. He was doing great in school, but because of his work schedule and him being shy, he was not having much luck with his Job Search.

Solution

Eric enrolled into CYC and completed the Work Readiness class. He worked closely with our Job Developer to set him up with work experience and also assisted him many job applications. He was able to get an interview for a position at Disneyland. Disneyland was where Eric hoped he could work.

Outcome
After several months of submitting job applications, Eric was called in for an interview at Disneyland. He was hired as a server in his favorite restaurant part time at $9.05 an hour. He was excited to be working at his favorite place and was also able to work out his work schedule with his school schedule.
